The challenge
Northwind coordinated 60 drivers and roughly 400 weekly loads using a mix of spreadsheets, a shared whiteboard, and a lot of phone calls. Dispatchers had no single source of truth, and a missed update could strand a truck for hours.
They had quoted a custom build at $140,000 and a nine-month timeline. For a 38-person company, that was a non-starter — both the cost and the risk of being mid-build for most of a year.
The solution
Northwind bought our Operations & Dispatch Platform and had it handed off in 48 hours. Their dispatch lead spent the first week loading drivers, lanes, and customers; the second week running it side-by-side with the old whiteboard.
Because the platform shipped with the database schema, role-based access, and the AI prompt library, their one in-house developer extended it — adding a fuel-surcharge calculator — without having to architect anything from scratch.
